Well one of the first posts ever on this blog was one about grace. Monday during the girl's discipleship group at my house a very awesome God moment happened that involved a discussion of grace and a display of grace. As sinful humans we do not deserve anything at all, especially not eternal life (see "What's the Big Deal" from 2009- a post on the gospel). So it is so exciting when God's work in our lives is super evident (for example: a visible answered prayer. like praying for something and then finding out it was answered right when you were praying for it...). Thank you God for your word and for the way you work in our lives! So Monday night one girl started talking about how God was teaching her grace. The real definition of it, how to give it to people since God gave it to her, etc. And we're all having this extensive discussion on grace then.... ((back story- every Monday night during the girl's group I put on Pandora on like the Phil Wickham, Hillsong, or Brooke Fraser Channel. Reason being because one girl just loves having soft background noise for those few quiet moments between conversation topics. Haha.))) Now that you know that, the rest of the story will make sense. So we're all discussing grace and the girl who brought it up is talking about a situation where she wants God to help her show grace and then I see two of the other girls to the left of me start whispering to each other with wide eyes. And then one of them is like okay, oh my gosh guys, listen to the song that just came on Pandora...and these were the words we heard... "Amazing grace how sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now i'm found; was blind but now I see." We all had a huge, girly, God's amazing freak out. and then finished our conversation with excitement because of God's confirmation.
Ah it is just so cool that the God of the whole universe wants to have relationship with us!!!! Ah!
Whew okay, just wanted to share that. Hope you all are having a great week! Music Suggestion of the week is Brooke Fraser's new CD Flags. It's amazing.
